Gardens, Gardens, Gardens

As you can see, I am certainly not the best at starting a blog. Shall we try again? Lets :)
Ryan is going crazy with school. CRAZY! But, he will officially be done with his bachelors degree in DECEMBER! Yay! Then we just have one more year for the masters program. So excited!

Between working at the salon and the stock brokerage, I don't have much time. But, I do have nights off, which I am still not used to. The only bad thing, is that Ryan doesn't have nights off...which leaves me with spare time. So, I decided to plant a garden. So far, I've planted peas and onions, chives, and lots and lots of sunflowers! I have to wait to plant our pumpkins, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green beans and yellow squash. The sunflowers are the mammoth ones that we gave away at our open house as thank you's. Oh how I love sunflowers!

(This is Ryan's cousin, Madi, with her sunflower that she got at our wedding. See how tall it is!?)

Anywho, so hopefully the sunflowers in my garden will grow and be tall like this! I can't wait. A few of them are starting to pop out of the ground. I guess the test now is to see if I have a green thumb or not... So far, it seems to be going okay!

Wow, crazy summer! We've had a lot going on for the past couple months! Ryan has had summer semester to deal with, I've started at 2 new jobs (AHHH!), we've been trying to organize our apartment, going on multiple vacations, and still trying to get used to married life. Don't worry, we love it!

Thanks to everyone who came to our Open House! Thanks especially to our families for going crazy putting up decorations all day, and Big thanks to Joy and Sherm for putting together such awesome decor in like zero time. It was such a party. For those who didn't come, you missed out! We had cupcakes, homemade suckers and caramels, cookies, glass pop bottles, ice cream and toppings, and Balloons for everyone! I was worried about having it in the church, but thanks to pretty much the whole neighborhood, our family and friends, it looked AMAZING! By the end of the night, Ryan and I were kapoot. So tired! It was really nice to just go home afterwords instead of leaving on a plane. We'd recommend doing your wedding and reception on 2 different days to anyone!

Our next big adventure was to none other than Hatch, Utah (just outside Kanab and Panguitch), where Ryan's family has a cabin. There's a huge waterslide that goes all the way down a huge hill into the pond, and it's pretty much the scariest thing in the world! Our favorite part about the slide, however, was listening to Jordy (Ryan's Brother) go down it screaming "I'm a man! I'M A MAN!" over and over again. Ha! We love Jordy. Oh, and guess what lives down there? Lizards. Lots of lizards, and Horny Toads (I didn't name them!) I thought they would be gross, but they were actually pretty cool!

So now that summer is pretty much over, Ryan has started back at school (lots and lots of credits!) along with a part time job on the side, and I've started working at the salon 4 days a week, and a second job 2 times a week. Holy Cow.
Even with all this craziness, we love life, and guess what...We're still happily married! Imagine that :)

NEW DIRECTIONS TO OPEN HOUSE!!!

So, as most of you probably know, we are having a little bit of a weather issue today....so we aren't going to be able to have the backyard open house we were planning on. Luckily, we go to church :) We will be having the open house at the Lakeside Ward Building. The address is 1730 North 900 West, West Bountiful.

The Directions: Whether you are coming from the North or South, Take Exit 319 (Parrish Lane, Centerville). Head East to 400 West, where you will turn right (south-bound). Keep heading South on 400 West until you get to Pages Lane. Turn right again (West). Continue West on Pages Lane. It will take you under I-15, past the West Bountiful Park. Stay on Pages Lane. You'll go through a 4-way stop (Pages Lane and 800 West). Continue through the 4-way stop. Turn right on 900 west, and the Chapel will be on your right (See map below).

We will see you all tonight!

Wedding Information

We are being sealed in the Bountiful Temple on June 12th, 2009.

The open house will be held on June 20th at the Fisher Residence (for directions see below) from 6 to 9 in the evening.

We are registered at Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Hope to see you there!

Directions to Fisher Residence

Okay everyone, here are directions to the Fisher Residence (632 West 800 North)! There's going to be a lot of construction...sorry, it's summer! Due to the construction, the easiest way to get to the Fisher's Residence is going to be a little different than normal. Whether you are coming from the North or South, Take Exit 319 (Parrish Lane, Centerville). Head East to 400 West, where you will turn right (south-bound). Keep heading South on 400 West until you get to Pages Lane. Turn right again (West). Continue West on Pages Lane. It will take you under I-15. Take the first left (550 West) after the railroad tracks. Take 550 until it forces you to turn right. This is 1000 North. Turn left on 660 West, and take your second left again. This is 800 North. The Fisher's house is the second one on the left!

You can also visit this link for a google map to the Fisher Residence. On the google map it says that it is in Woods Cross but is the same as West Bountiful (they share the same zip code). Just type in your address to get exact directions. Also, just a reminder that 400 North will be closed, so don't try to take that exit on your quest. It'll get you seriously lost! Good luck, and we'll see you there!
